Roads to Giving’s mission is to improve the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of children through the power of cycling.
We help kids break free from the negative effects of screens and social media by inspiring kids to embrace the outdoors, connect with nature, and enjoy the freedom of cycling. Roads to Giving provides bikes, helmets, locks, training, and mentorship to kids from low-income and marginalized communities who lack access to these opportunities. We also foster a sense of community among kids and other riders to support each other and learn valuable life skills. Check out our C2C Ride for 100, and help us meet our goal of 100 bikes for 100 kids this year by donating!
The mission of Roads to Giving co-founded by Dave Roberson and Jesse Rochman, is to create safer and more accessible cycling infrastructure in local communities, while promoting community togetherness and involvement. Roads To Giving aims to empower people of all abilities to experience and connect with their local communities through cycling, and its proceeds are directed towards funding safe cycling routes, trails, equipment, systems, signage, and outdoor adventures for people of all ages.
The organization recognizes that cycling can be a healthy and sustainable mode of transportation that benefits individuals and communities alike. However, inadequate infrastructure and safety concerns can limit access to cycling, particularly for those who may be new to cycling or have limited abilities. Roads To Giving seeks to address these barriers by working with local communities to identify and implement solutions that make cycling safer and more accessible.
To achieve this mission, Roads To Giving collaborates with local stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and individual cyclists, to identify the most pressing needs for cycling infrastructure and safety improvements. Roads To Giving then works to secure funding and resources to implement these improvements, leveraging its network of partners and volunteers to make progress towards its goals.
Roads To Giving also recognizes the importance of community involvement in promoting cycling, and seeks to engage individuals and groups in the cycling experience. Through partnerships with local organizations, Roads To Giving provides opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate in cycling events and outdoor adventures, promoting a sense of community and connection.
Overall, the mission of Roads To Giving is to create safer and more accessible cycling infrastructure, promote community involvement and togetherness, and empower people of all abilities to experience and connect with their local communities through cycling. Through its work, Roads To Giving aims to make cycling a more viable and enjoyable option for people everywhere, while supporting healthy, sustainable, and vibrant communities.
